Shipping policy

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification once your order has been shipped.
Engine rebuilding jobs or custom machining services will have longer lead times — we’ll confirm this with you when your order is placed.

Domestic Shipping (New Zealand)

We ship nationwide from our Palmerston North location.

  • Standard Shipping: 1–3 business days (North Island) / 2–5 business days (South Island)

  • Overnight Options: Available for most small parts orders placed before midday

  • Heavy/Bulky Items: Engines, cylinder heads, blocks, and oversized items may require pallet delivery. Freight charges will be confirmed at checkout or invoiced separately if special handling is needed.

We use trusted carriers such as NZ Post, Mainfreight, and Aramex. Tracking details will be emailed once your order has shipped.

International Shipping

At this stage, we primarily ship within New Zealand. For international enquiries, please contact us directly at parts@motormachinists.co.nz for a custom shipping quote.

Shipping Rates

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and delivery location.

In-Store Pickup

You are welcome to collect your order from our workshop in Palmerston North. Please select Local Pickup at checkout. We’ll notify you by email when your order is ready.

Delays

While we do our best to ensure prompt delivery, delays can occur due to courier schedules, weather, or supplier backorders. If there are significant delays with your order, we will contact you immediately.
