Features & Benefits
The Heavy Duty clutch kit boosts torque capacity by 20%, ensuring durability, compatibility, and reliability with rigorous testing and CI expertise. |
The Heavy Duty replacement clutch kit is engineered to replace the Original Equipment (OE) system with increased torque capacity and enhanced durability. Featuring a typical 20% higher clamp load compared to OE, this kit delivers improved performance while maintaining compatibility with the vehicle's hydraulic system. Each component is rigorously tested and tailored for specific applications, providing a Quality Assured replacement that meets or exceeds OE requirements. With over 70 years of expertise in OEM and aftermarket clutch manufacturing, CI is a trusted source for reliable clutch systems. The 20% increase in clamp load offers a significant boost in torque capacity without overloading the hydraulic system or compromising clutch lifespan. For applications requiring higher torque capacity, consider upgrading to a UniClutch. Beware of imitation products with excessive clamp loads, which can reduce clutch life and increase pedal effort. Heavy Duty clutch kits with SSCC, SSC, or SC suffixes feature upgraded cerametallic clutch plates. SSCC plates have dual-sided cerametallic material for increased torque with moderate pedal feel reduction and slightly sudden engagement. SSC plates have no cushioning, offering significant pedal feel reduction and aggressive engagement. SC plates, designed for track use only, feature ultra-aggressive engagement with no cushioning and are unsuitable for street driving. |
